Our Logo

Why ‘Archipelago’?

Firstly, the consultancy is set up in the Malay Archipelago in Southeast Asia.

Secondly, the word means a group, cluster or chain of scattered islands. We are all unique individuals of diverse strengths and personalities; just like the vast islands of fascinating histories, together they form a larger entity that is the archipelago.

Archipelago Consultancy is made up of passionate and dedicated individuals from various fields of speciality who work together for the betterment of the global community.

The intricacies of the flower symbolise diverse people and heritage in countries around the world. The top petal, a sanggul (traditional Malay hair pin), reflects the origin of the company which is in the Malay Archipelago or Nusantara.

The four petals symbolise the four cardinal points and the focus of the company – Research, Heritage, Education and Creativity.

The dotted lines are arrows charting our choices and direction in life.

The arrow at the top symbolises kayangan (in Javanese shadow puppet tradition refers to the heaven), a reflection of our constant strive to achieve excellence in every endeavour.

Our CSR

Archipelago Consultancy gives back!

As part of our Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR),

we support initiatives that help the community and country.

We had donated copies of The Mango Tree (braille volume) book and Hang Nadim and the Garfish book to the visually handicaped children schooling in Lighthouse School and the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH).

We had participated in Project Inspirasi organised by students from Hwa Chong Institution. Projek Inspirasi is a student-run community project which aims to bring inspiration to the underprivileged children at Pertapis Children’s Home. Through the sharing session, we hoped the beneficiaries would be inspired to proactively shape their lives so that they can succeed in what they want to do and not be held back by pre-existing burdens or fears

We had initiated a fund-raising drive – For each ‘Mina meets Cambridge’ book purchased, £1 goes to a bursary for needy students at at Newnham College, Cambridge.

As of April 2016, we’ve raised £500 for the Hidayah Amin Bursary. The first recipient gets a signed copy of ‘Mina meets Cambridge’ book.

We had actively volunteered/participated in:

Girl Guides Singapore. Being a former President’s Guide, our CEO gives back to guiding in whatever way she can. She is currently the consultant for the Girl Guides Centenary Stories (a nation-wide book project). Other contributions were being the emcee at Tea with the Queen of Brunei on 23 April 2014 and being a judge at the BP Quest 2013 and 2015.

Temasek Secondary School (TMS). Being an alumna of TMS, our boss gives back by speaking in the Career Talk – Creative Industries on 1 April 2016. She was also the Guest-of-Honour in TMS’ 35th Speech Day on 15 April 2016.

Club HEAL (Hope, Empowerment, Acceptance & Love) is a charity and an Institution of Public Character (IPC) that aims to assist and empower persons with mental illness to regain confidence in themselves and others in their journey towards community reintegration.

*Archipelago Consultancy had engaged participants of Club HEAL on freelance assignments to empower them and train them towards employability.

SMSO (Singapore Muslim Students Overseas) is a network that aims to unite Singapore Muslim students around the globe in the name of friendship, and in attempt to form a support network for students in far flung places, way out of the comforts of our sunny little island.
